How to love Taiwan?

With the latest scandal of former president of Taiwan, which is supported by most pan-green political spectrum people, thus stir the original momentum to the protest scheduled 8/30 this month.

Pan-green people starts to doubt their faith on DPP, and how should they face the future. The biggest opposing party in Taiwan is losing trust from their supporters, a political crisis.

Many people said, "haha, He said he love Taiwan before, now look at what he did to you guys."
I really don't think love Taiwan has anything to do with his wrong decisions. Love Taiwan should be doing things good to Taiwan from every aspect, people's love is different from politicians' love, since people doesn't gain any benefit, politicians do.

So how do we love Taiwan? Well, as I wrote before, I sadly know more things about China than actually about Taiwan. But now I'm 30, I have access to many information, I know at least 2 languages to research for more information about Taiwan. So start loving Taiwan is like to love someone you already did, to know it better then you can truly love Taiwan from heart.

I would suggest several ways to do.
1. Study , study and more study.
Taiwan have lost too many history during the governing of different foreign countries, in order to recover it, we have to study. Many history records are sometimes written with political intentions, thus they hide some thing the government don't want people to know about. Fortunately we have internet and more easier way to access different information from many countries, thus cross check from different resources, such as foreign reports, sometimes they did more correct observation and comments on how things happen.

2.Write a blog with your studies, share and discuss with other people, history doesn't exist with only one "correct" version, so debating makes truth more clear if we discuss it in a proper way. Politicians are people, so they behave with purposes, any thing they do is with purpose, some might seem stupid enough, but sadly power did make people do stupid decisions. eg. Bush.

3.Pursuit justice for Taiwan. We didn't make it before, but we can still do this on our way to build a normalized country. Taiwanese is sometimes too kind on those who did wrong things, but we still pursuit justice and fairness. But we should have the guts to push those politicians to pass the bill to help Taiwan become a better country. So stand up and speak up, trust your guts, defy any murmurs, even if many would say it's impossible. Things might be impossible if it's a law of universe, but politic policies is never impossible if you can gather enough people that agree with you, even dictatorship is possible, how is pursuit for justice impossible?

4. Talk to people, or say, argue with them. The better way is "discuss" but some people is not so reasonable or they might tend to disagree anything that they don't believe. That's human nature. So if you for sure and value what you already know, speak up, use truth and correct history and all the knowledge to back you up. It's a more open minded age now, you don't get killed even if you critic the government, how is it difficult to argue with something who say the wrong thing? It's a civilized age, talk is better than violence. You can argue all you want, as long as you are argue with reason and facts. At least, if you argue, that will leave some impact to those who believe wrong thing, it's a long way to persuade someone who have different view, especially politically, but you have to try.

5. Make more friends, every one can help Taiwan to gain it's independence if you have more friends, especially foreign friends. They don't study foreign history that much so you need to tell them how and why Taiwan gets into today's struggling situation. In many country they all have Taiwanese group that are already doing lobby for Taiwan for a long time, this is the same with China side. So make more friends, even small effort matters.

Follow your heart, love Taiwan is like to love your parents or your kids, just do things you know it will only benefit Taiwan, and stay away things that might hurt Taiwan.
