Seems I have forgot about this blog.

Now that I put my focus on daily stuff and youtube streaming, I think this should be my last update if ever. It's been so long(since 2008), and still so many things that came and past in the minds of Taiwanese. I might have better influence somewhere else if I'm successful, but this blog here is not one of it.

Taiwan, is it going to be sunk by China, or be the vanguard for independence of Tibet, East Turkestan

As you all know, the envoy of China formally arrived Taiwan yesterday on Nov 3rd. And watching those videos about police violate human right for pull/drag people out of their position, lawful and public space, not to mention those other event including take away ROC national flag, steal/rob their home made banners with police in superior numbers. All of these makes me wonder is Taiwan going to be sunk by China?

The future is still unknown, it all depends on how Taiwanese going to do, either with in the law, or maybe Taiwanese needs to break some that already against their rights. I asked myself, when do I want to obey and follow the instruction of police? These should be under the principle that I know the police or law is used to protect me, not against me.

Yes, Taiwan is in it's most chaotic period, everyone is in his/her blink of thought to decide to pick a side, either succumb to the authoritarian or fight for their own liberty and freedom. We should make an example that people is where the government gains it's power. People should not afraid their government, the government should afraid their people.

Tibetans and East Turkestans are looking upon us, Taiwanese should be brave now, or you will need to give more lives in order to earn your liberty back. I saw some Tibetans protest and get unlawful treatment as well, may God(whoever they believe) bless them. Although I don't have religion specifically, but I do believe one thing, that is , there is a fight of values that lasts thousands of years in human civilization, different values like democracy, communist, liberty, slavery, all fighting for their survival, sometimes they cooperate with each other, sometimes they fight each other, but in the end, it channels through human beings. And there is one thing we all have, that is free will, the one thing nothing, I really mean NOTHING can alter your free will unless you are willing to do such.

So it's your free will to behave within the laws, and it's also your free will to try breaking it and make the government know the law is wrong, heck, even the constitution can be changed if majority agrees with the changes.

In a free and open society, we vote and argue for different ideas, in the darkest hour of any human history events, we defend our values with our lives and souls.

May the liberty God bless Taiwan, and I wish all Taiwanese have the courage to fight the injustice and fight for their and their descendants' right to live freely.

Do you afraid of death? Liberty aint come free!

I, have trouble deal with the way I want to live my life later on, the thought in my mind goes from extreme to another, but it never calms down.

I'm a very lucky guy, I'm fortunate enough to be in a country that I don't have to worry about my life being in control of tyranny, like China communist party. I work a pretty high end job, I might pay more tax next year than someone's whole year income.

But I'm unhappy, because my people is suffering the consequence of not yet matured democracy system. I am a Taiwanese which don't have a country of our own, but live in that specific island for over 10 thousands years. Are we repeating the sad history of Jews? They drift almost entire history time until recently to build their own country in 1948, how unbelievable is that? Does there anyone in the world dare to say that Israel is not a country and tried to aim 1400 missile at them? If not, how come Taiwan is not a country?

Israel will have probably around 7.2 million from the data on wikipedia, in Taiwan, we have 23 million population, if Israel have enough people to defend them self against whole and richest Arabian countries, how can Taiwan not be able to stand up againt China's ambitious take over plan?

I can have a very happy life and ignore whatever happen to Asia, or say, to Taiwan. I can live happily here in Canada and just try to stay away from anything that related to Taiwan. But do I have to do this? Do I actually have anyway to avoid Chinese my entire life? When can I say proudly that I'm a Taiwanese or Formosan for whatever country Taiwanese should decide to build. When can I have no doubt to give my precious and happy life to defend my people and my people's liberty against any tyranny?

It's very difficult, there are too many conflict thought, the premature democracy, the KMT dominated media and press(some channel are revealed that are 100% China invested). How can I fight for such a controversial people that they say they are an independent country but in fact they want anything and everything except being slaughtered again like in February 28, 1947. They just recently realized that even if we haven't been govern by PRC ever, we will still suffer from the dark side of humanity if we actually walk too close to them, for example, the recent tainted milk from China scandal.

The tainted milk scandal is a global one, do you fear of Chinese product? Imagine how every government backed off before in economic negotiation? In a world trading model we have now, do you think you can eat safely and depends on your government? Some maybe, but Taiwanese can't. Imagine that those African country exploited by China government, imagine their fear that they don't have healthy fresh milk or poisonless food to feed their kids, if they know any info about it.

We will suffer from the evil if we let it grow under our nose, we will be in unimaginable pain if we lost our kids because some god damn importer imported tainted milk. Who to blame? In the end, it's you and I, the consumers. We decides what to buy, the cheapest, the manufacturer will justify that from whatever they can to make product with the lowest cost sources. Each and everyone of us will suffer in one form or another, now try to imagine that usual Chinese people trying to survive this under brainwashing news/medias.

"They that can give up essential liberty to obtain a little safety deserve neither liberty nor safety." by Benjamin Franklin

A man lived through almost entire 18th century can say something that we still thrive to make this a common sense to the global. How do we survive this war over the economic control? Which 5% of the people on the Earth controls the life of the rest 95%? Do we ever really live freely? Do we fight for common value of life? Or do we just watch the unfortunate happen and then hope or pray it wouldn't happen to us?

Please stand up and speak our for the injustice that you see, take actions that you see fit, and fight for "every human being" instead of just yourself.

We humans, are just a second of existence for the entire Earth history. What we are will be ultimatly decided by what we do. I hope that, myself a normal human being, can be as brave as those who fight and give their lives to justice and liberty.

How to love Taiwan?

With the latest scandal of former president of Taiwan, which is supported by most pan-green political spectrum people, thus stir the original momentum to the protest scheduled 8/30 this month.

Pan-green people starts to doubt their faith on DPP, and how should they face the future. The biggest opposing party in Taiwan is losing trust from their supporters, a political crisis.

Many people said, "haha, He said he love Taiwan before, now look at what he did to you guys."
I really don't think love Taiwan has anything to do with his wrong decisions. Love Taiwan should be doing things good to Taiwan from every aspect, people's love is different from politicians' love, since people doesn't gain any benefit, politicians do.

So how do we love Taiwan? Well, as I wrote before, I sadly know more things about China than actually about Taiwan. But now I'm 30, I have access to many information, I know at least 2 languages to research for more information about Taiwan. So start loving Taiwan is like to love someone you already did, to know it better then you can truly love Taiwan from heart.

I would suggest several ways to do.
1. Study , study and more study.
Taiwan have lost too many history during the governing of different foreign countries, in order to recover it, we have to study. Many history records are sometimes written with political intentions, thus they hide some thing the government don't want people to know about. Fortunately we have internet and more easier way to access different information from many countries, thus cross check from different resources, such as foreign reports, sometimes they did more correct observation and comments on how things happen.

2.Write a blog with your studies, share and discuss with other people, history doesn't exist with only one "correct" version, so debating makes truth more clear if we discuss it in a proper way. Politicians are people, so they behave with purposes, any thing they do is with purpose, some might seem stupid enough, but sadly power did make people do stupid decisions. eg. Bush.

3.Pursuit justice for Taiwan. We didn't make it before, but we can still do this on our way to build a normalized country. Taiwanese is sometimes too kind on those who did wrong things, but we still pursuit justice and fairness. But we should have the guts to push those politicians to pass the bill to help Taiwan become a better country. So stand up and speak up, trust your guts, defy any murmurs, even if many would say it's impossible. Things might be impossible if it's a law of universe, but politic policies is never impossible if you can gather enough people that agree with you, even dictatorship is possible, how is pursuit for justice impossible?

4. Talk to people, or say, argue with them. The better way is "discuss" but some people is not so reasonable or they might tend to disagree anything that they don't believe. That's human nature. So if you for sure and value what you already know, speak up, use truth and correct history and all the knowledge to back you up. It's a more open minded age now, you don't get killed even if you critic the government, how is it difficult to argue with something who say the wrong thing? It's a civilized age, talk is better than violence. You can argue all you want, as long as you are argue with reason and facts. At least, if you argue, that will leave some impact to those who believe wrong thing, it's a long way to persuade someone who have different view, especially politically, but you have to try.

5. Make more friends, every one can help Taiwan to gain it's independence if you have more friends, especially foreign friends. They don't study foreign history that much so you need to tell them how and why Taiwan gets into today's struggling situation. In many country they all have Taiwanese group that are already doing lobby for Taiwan for a long time, this is the same with China side. So make more friends, even small effort matters.

Follow your heart, love Taiwan is like to love your parents or your kids, just do things you know it will only benefit Taiwan, and stay away things that might hurt Taiwan.

Who am I?

Who am I? This is a question that haunted me for many nights, when I can't help myself thinking about this question on the bed, you bet I'll get panda eyes next day.

Many Taiwanese people at the same age as I do have this same question, we don't really know who we are and think ourselves as Chinese by the influence of KMT government education system, we are almost brainwashed with Chinese history, geology, language, identity, and what country should I be loyal to, we are educated like SS in German WWII period, preparing our self with knowledge of the fantasized "Great China" and prepare to take back our land from traitors.

After 2000 presidential election, the world we live changed. Although my family start telling me more truth about the corruption of KMT government before that, they still didn't mention about what they do in the past.

After 2000, everything changed, the corruption is only just the tip of iceberg, they hide our original fate for decide our own future by the silence of US government that time for US's own interest, and eliminated a lot of our Taiwanese elite professionals who get really good education and with all kinds of knowledge to propel Taiwan into a country that might be as prosperous as Japan, just for the control of this tiny island for their life to perish without the fear of communists, they wipe out or assimilated the capable people who can lead. This is the 228 event that we all know today, but still without details and who should be responsible for.

If this is bad enough for innocent people lived in Taiwan, let me tell you, there are worse things happen before. Just a few month ago I found an article and translated to start this blog, in that article and related one, I found that 85% of Taiwanese is not originated from China dominated area, we are just assimilated by the Qing Dynasty that time. As you all know for those strong and invasive culture, they gave us new names, they gave us new "family history", they teach you to become a Chinese and forget or hide your true identity, which most people accepted to prevent their land being taken away, and most after a few generation, shamefully denied they are aboriginal natives since that will make them "lower rank" or uncivilized.

So when I think about who am I? It's a really hard question. My father still believe the family history book that my grandpa have, which he took from my grand grandpa. But look into my face in the mirror, it's really hard to believe I'm a Chinese descendant as the facial structure or my skin color tends to tell me I'm more like a Vietnamese plus Philippine, I even have once been recognized as a Thailand people once when I went there with my classmate during my college graduation travel.

This question is haunting me recently, I have a lot of thoughts about how to trace my origin. And there are also fears for doing so, what if my family(father side) indeed were come from China? I kinda hate this idea. I don't really hate Chinese people, but I hate Chinese government and their education. They tell you to die for the country that slaughter your people, they make things up to frame those who dare to speak the truth, and now they control the media to brainwash people again and again to hate whatever against their interest. How can I deal with the truth if my father is right about family history?

I'll find out someday, I want to film a documentary if I have enough money, I want to fund archaeologist that help recover the damaged or I can even say erased history about our true identity. There are just so many things to do, and there won't be much time. From the assimilation policy taken place, it's about 400 more years, that would count for around 20 generations if we average it for 20 per generation. That's a long way back since before Qing Dynasty, there are basically only a few written records from some European adventurers that time. For each generation passed, it will be harder and harder to recover the truth. (Like one article is speculating from statistical model of population growth that most of our people are natives before the DNA research are done, since there aren't many documentations to trace back.

This might just be one of my outlet of the emotion from recent government failure, I'm truly deeply concern about the future of our people, but there are so little I can do now. I can only write, and earn more money using my profession to contribute more in the future.

Okay...I decide to make this English only

In order to prevent further disorientation, I decide to make this site with English only. And put source links if someone actually wants to see the Chinese original article.

I'll edit previous articles as to make this blog totally in English. So I'll just put translated articles and mine more easily. It might be a good training to start the writing career that I dream for later of my life, which tells stories and good values to everyone. Since I'm not a native English speaker, I'll have a lot to learn and a lot practice writing to improve my writing skills.

Children, we are sorry! Please don't trace your way back here.

Ren:
I cried, tears slowly tries to escape my eyelids,
when I read this article, I can't stop the emotional impact to reach the deepest place in my heart, as a human have wonderful life compare to theirs,
I cried, maybe one part of me is glad that I'm not a Chinese, but the part of being a human shares the sadness felt by this very author, who tells billions of Chinese parents' voice in their mind.

Children, we are sorry!
You certainly shouldn't be the victim,
and school buildings should be the strongest in the world.
But I see by my own eyes,
your school collapse first,
where should be full with sound of joy and laugh,
are now endless wreckage.

Children, we are sorry,
you fell, how come those adult still standing shamelessly?
I hate myself, since I can't strengthen your school buildings,
If I have the right, Ill build your school as strong as government plaza, which stands firmly even during the earthquake.

(ren: ZF is a shortened phrase for "政府", which means government,
they do this in order to cheat the monitoring firewall of China.)

Children, we are sorry,
I can only give you my condolence silently,
use my tear to wipe the blood stain on your face,
sleep, children!
I hope there are pure cloud of happiness in heaven,
they will protect your soul, gone with the wind.

At 14:28, May 12, 2008. You just walked into classroom prepare to attend class,
but before you can even hear clearly the first English phrase from teacher, the building collapse in a sudden. Black, was all you can see. In this beautiful May, the season when flowers bloom, children, you were at the age like this poetry blooming season, you left this world, without the time to call Dad or Mom for the last time.

I still remember the day before this disaster, it's Mother's Day, your mother still greeted by your message, you said that you get really good score from the exam to Mom. But just one night past, it's like these never happened. Those strong fathers and kind mothers, they have to held each other, staggering along their way to school,
they use their shaky hands, use flashlight to search through each small bodies, in the cold windy night, your yet to grow body seems even weaker. Icing cold concrete plate smashed on your head, blood spread all over the wall bricks. Dad and Mom tries to identify one by one, before even see the face under plastic bag, Mom are so sure who wares the pink socks are their lovely daughter, since there are threads weaved by Mom. That boy in blue sport suit, was a key member of school basketball team, that one time smiled shiny face were penetrated by iron wires, he told his Mon Yao Ming is his idol.

Kids, you are cold, right? Let Mom put more papers under your body!
Children, you are afraid, right? Let Dad hold your hands once again!

You quietly lie on where once to be your playing ground, but you can't hear Mom's calling. Mom raise you carefully, hire teachers to teach piano and painting, but you were all yet to enjoy the world of prosperous, yet to suffer the noise and duties, you all left quietly.

300 ready to bloom flowers buried under the wreckage.
Children, may godspeed on your way to heaven!

Children, we are sorry!
Uncle can not kill all those corrupted, greedy and useless officials.....

I'm so angry, can't even eat at all.

If those greedy official are not punished,
how to comfort your soul?!

At that moment, how many kids yelled for Mom?
So sad...(sobbing...)

Why are those students died and injured?!
What kind of world is this?!

Children, we are sorry! Please don't come back here.
Please do not come back from the way you leave with your next life.

I can't say anything more!
I told my son these day most frequently: "Son, you must study hard, I'll do everything I could to send you to foreign country, Dad is old, I'm okay with this!"
